27/6/2007 : 13.00h: La Cremonese to the Cremonese – The start of the Arvedi era.
La Cremonese is now Arvedi’s, the man who has managed to solve the economic problems of a club that had been left to itself for years and had completely broken relations with its fans. Cremona can now at last breathe the air of great-time football, with the many successes in the championships that count. "It’s a difficult activity, and a new one for me," Giovanni Arvedi commented in an interview. "I’ll try, as a late arrival, to learn quickly. We will invest in the young players sector to try and provide the club with a more stable base and future. With this sport we also want to re-launch our town and province and renew the creative enthusiasm of young players so as to be a good example for other teams too."
The road of La Cremonese moves into its sixth year under Arvedi management, with a new manager, Beppe Scienza. The owner, Arvedi, has set out the guide lines for the 2012-13 Championship in which La Cremonese will place its bets on good young players who share the team's aims of forming a compact group able to pass on talent, values and passion for the grey and red colours.
Ever more attention will be paid to the Junior Sector which sees Giancarlo Finardi (manager) and Guerrino Ghio (coordinator) engaged on the field, as well as Mauro Bonali (in charge of basic activity) and many good coaches who see to bringing up the youngsters from the nursery. On 19.9.2011 the new G. Arvedi sports centre, will allow all the formations of the Junior Sector to do their training in one place, was inaugurated. Equipped with various synthetic (of the latest generation) and grass fields, a new building housing the changing rooms and the club's head office, and all other structures necessary for technical activities, the sports centre is also the Headquarters of the Junior Sector.
