Quality controls

Arinox has implemented a specific Process Control Plan (PCP) across the entire production cycle for strain hardened stainless steel strip for cold rolling, including the following controls:

Quality controls on strain-hardened stainless steels

  • Entry controls on raw materials
  • Surface, thickness and width controls during rolling, intermediate annealing and levelling
  • Mechanical tests (control of correspondence of yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and hardness to customer specifications) and documentary control of the production cycle
  • Slitter – inspection of edges
  • Final test including packing and issue of certificate according to EN 10204 – 3.1

Quality controls on annealed stainless steels

  • Entry controls on raw materials
  • Surface, thickness and width controls during rolling, intermediate annealing and levelling
  • Mechanical tests (control of correspondence of yield strength, tensile strength, elongation to obtain the plasticity characteristics for subsequent processing in terms of hydraulic or mechanical expansion) and documentary control of the production cycle
  • Slitter – inspection of edges
  • Final test including packing and issue of certificate according to EN 10204 – 3.1

Quality controls on stainless steels for SUT® drawing applications

  • Entry controls on raw materials
  • Surface and dimension controls during rolling annealing, levelling and SUT® treatment
  • Mechanical tests (control of yield strength to ensure correct strip drawing and control of degree of prescribed roughness)
  • Final test including packing and issue of certificate according to EN 10204 – 3.1
