TUBES FOR BOILERS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS

Arvedi tubes for pressure applications are produced through high frequency (HFI) welding in alloyed and non-alloyed steels.

Excellent final characteristics are obtained thanks to the use of raw materials of constant and homogenous quality coming from Acciaieria Arvedi and by using ATA’s special production equipment which allow dimensional tolerances closer than standard to be respected.

The result is better workability and repetitiveness in the welding, rolling and bending phases.

These tubes are mainly used in industrial and domestic boilers, in low and high temperature heat exchangers and in applications for conveying pressurized fluids in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Arvedi produces the tubes in accordance with the following standards and in all the steel grades provided by these standards:

EN 10217-1 for uses at room temperature

EN 10217-2 for uses at high temperatures

EN 10217-3 for tubes in fine-grain alloyed steels

EN 10217-4 for uses at low temperatures

ASTM A214 for heat exchangers and condensers in electro-welded carbon steel

ASTM A178 for carbon steel tubes for boilers and heat exchangers

Tubes for pressure applications can be supplied in lengths of up to 16 metres and in the following conditions:

  • welded and calibrated
  • weld normalized
  • full-body normalized in a controlled atmosphere
  • hot rolled

Upon request, at the time of order, it can be agreed that the supply of tubes is certified PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) in compliance with European Directive PED 2014/68/EU Annex I section 4.3 and/or certified AD 2000 W4 / TRD 102.
