Flat rolled steel produced at the Acciaieria Arvediworks in Cremona and Trieste in the form of quality black, pickled, galvanized and pre-painted carbon steel coils.

Built in the early 1990s, the Cremona works is a very modern industrial complex, the first example in Europe of a mini-mill for flat rolled steel with two production lines, each with its own melting furnace.

The first plant uses the (patented) Arvedi ISP - (In-line Strip Production) technology based on in-line thin slab casting and rolling.

The second plant, an epoch-making innovation started up in 2009, has achieved a real continuous cast-rolling process using Arvedi ESP(Endless Strip Production) technology, patented in the most important industrialised countries.

Acciaieria Arvedi uses its own highly efficient and high quality service centre for processing (slitting into strips and tension levelling of plates and sheets).

Since 2017 Acciaieria Arvedi also includes the Trieste site (formerly the “Ferriera di Servola” ironworks) - which used to produce high quality pig iron destined for production requirements in Cremona - where coils from Cremona are sent for cold rolling.  Important investments are currently under way in Trieste relative to galvanizing and organic coating lines.
 

Welded carbon steel tubes, with Arvedi Tubi Acciaio (ATA) in Cremona, built in the early 1970s and from the start equipped with avant-garde plants.

Highly oriented towards quality and special products using coils from Acciaieria Arvedi, it holds important positions on the domestic and European markets.

ATA has recently expanded its production range of tubes up to a diameter of 355.6 mm with wall thickness up to 16.5 mm, and its range of square hollow sections, both hot and cold finished, up to 300x300 mm and rectangular ones up to 400x200 mm with wall thickness up to 16 mm.

In 2008 Arvedi Tubi Acciaio took over Metalfer SpA, the most important company in Italy and one of the most important in Europe for the cold drawing of carbon steel tubes.

Stainless steel welded tubes at the ILTA Inox works in Robecco d’Oglio (Cremona), historically the first of the group’s companies set up in the early 1960s.

It is specialised in tubes for quality applications which meet rigorous international standards and exports 75% of its production.

Precision-rolled stainless steel strip at the Arinox works in the Riva Trigoso area of Sestri Levante (GE), set up in the early 1990s and specialised in precision cold rolling of ultrathin stainless steel strip down to gauges below 0.1 mm.

It is the only producer on the domestic market in this sector and operates in a niche market, exporting about 70% of its production.
