A leader in the manufacture of drawn welded tubes, thanks to its exclusive know-how developed in the automotive sectors, it is the contact reference for the leading R&D centres of the most important suppliers of primary equipment for automotive systems. Its headquarters are in Roè Volciano, close to Salò on Lake Garda; a further tube drawing unit is in Corbetta, in the hinterland of Milan. The highest guarantee of customer supplies is given by the complete interchangeability of the two works. The rigorous certification procedures to which the production cycles are subjected allow high quality standards to be met on the whole product range. Metalfer is also present in Avigliana, near Turin, with a very large range of cutting lines which, thanks to constant investments in modern plants, allow cutting and auxiliary processing for tubes destined not only for the automotive but also the hydraulics sector. In 2017 finishing operations were started up at the Corbetta works in a specifically dedicated structure for cylinder tubes obtained through honing. The large number of lines installed guarantees maximum production flexibility and a wide product range in diameters up to 240 mm with tolerance guarantee H8. Metalfer also has production units in Bielsko-Biala, Poland and in Salto, near San Paolo, Brazil. Overall annual production amounts to 110,000 tonnes of drawn tubes and 20,000 tonnes of processed tubes.
