The Arvedi Group and the Piantoni Group (GAP) are celebrating fifty years of collaboration, an industrial partnership that began in the mid-1970s and has steadily grown over time.
Founded by Gianni and Aldo Piantoni, from whom the Group takes its name, GAP initially started operations in support of the production facilities at Acciaieria Tubificio Arvedi — now Arvedi Tubi Acciaio — gradually taking responsibility for increasingly complex and strategic services while supporting the industrial evolution of the Arvedi Group. The most significant turning point came in the early 1990s following the construction of the new Acciaieria Arvedi and the introduction of the innovative ISP continuous casting and rolling technology, followed later by ESP. In this context, GAP assumed an even more central role, managing internal logistics through the deployment of specialised transport vehicles.
Over the years, the partnership has been further strengthened through the progressive expansion of the services entrusted to GAP, ranging from industrial logistics to operational support for production processes, consistently accompanying the growth and development of the Arvedi Group.
